New features and benefits for the 5- and 6-series
Water circulation system
RAVO introduces a water circulation system for the 5-Series. This makes more water available for the sweeping cycle. Depending on the type of sweeper and dirt, the available sweeping time can be increased by at least a factor of two.
Considerable savings
Water is an important element in the sweeping cycle. It suppresses dust and binds the dirt in the container. The more water, the longer the deployment can be. The new system filters the water in the container and then feeds it back to the suction mouth. Depending on the type of dirt, the water can now be re-used several times. This results in considerable savings! Additional water is also made available by filling the container in advance with approximately 800 litres. This water is saved in the spraying system. In order to prevent contamination and blockage of the suction mouth and suction tube spray nozzles, the system has been upgraded to include an interval spray function. These spray nozzles are switched on and off briefly in order to remove dirt from the spray nozzles. The water filter is mounted in the rear door, and can easily be cleaned at the same time the container is cleaned.

Swasher
Parked cars everywhere, a dusty pavement and hard to reach spots on the road. An impossible task to clean these areas with a conventional sweeper, but not for the Blue Whale, RAVO’s new Swasher. The Blue Whale combines both the advantages of a sweeper and washer into one versatile machine. Arms mounted on the roof with water pistons mounted on it give a maximum freedom to spray water to clean where necessary; dirty corners, underneath parked cars, street furniture, etc. Places that could never be reached before, or only with time consuming labour are now easily cleaned with these far reaching pistons. Where normal washers leave the dirt in the gutter, the Blue Whale will sweep it and leave a clean street behind. Available with high or low pressure, lengthy water spray arms, water recycling, various seizes of the water tank and a big sweeper compartment: the Blue Whale has it all what it takes to clean your city in the most ecological way.
Whisper
The machines in the RAVO 5-Series are not only powerful butalso extremely versatile, thanks to various options. And now they are extremely quiet, thanks to the new ‘Whisper’ version. The Whisper version brings together a smart combination of noise absorption materials with additional noise reducing measures and an economic suction function. The Whisper reduces the machine noise to the extremely low noise index of 97 dBA. The economic suction system, which guarantees the low noise level, can be activated by various button combinations, depending on the specific customer wishes. For example, it is possibleto limit the machine to 97 dBA for a specific period of time, or to limit or release it wholly by means of a key-operated lockingsystem.
Clean air
RAVO has developed a unique dust filter. This special componentprevents dust being blown out of the air outlet. The filter,which replaces the standard grille in the hopper, can be deployedeasily. No further changes to the machine are necessary. The filter unit, which consists of a filter frame with four separate filter elements, a protective grille and attachment pins, is attached at the location of the normal grille. This means that the total filter surface area is no less than 12.4 m2. This achieves the lowest air resistance per cm2.
