1964
Ilpera N.V. is established as an assembly plant for Koster & Van Batenburg.
1964
As the Verro City container is compact, the Verro City can be designed with a trailer.
1968
Mr Van Raaij becomes Managing Director of Ilpera N.V. and is a major source of inspiration for the future of RAVO bv.
1971
The first sweeper, the ILP 4000, is designed and constructed independently.
1973
Launch of the ILP 4000 onto the Dutch market.
1976
Improved version of the ILP 4000: the cabin is tapered so that the driver can see the gutter brushes through the window without having to open it.
1978
Mr Van Raaij changes the brand name of the sweeper to RAVO 4000. RAVO is short for Raaij Voertuigen. (RAVO Vehicles).
1989
The first RAVO 5000 is launched onto the market; this offers a larger container capacity but keeps the cabin from the RAVO 4000.
1991
Federal Signal Corporation becomes the American parent company of RAVO; Federal Signal is a player in the fields of environmental technology and cleaning equipment, among others.
1993
The improved version of the RAVO 5000, the RAVO 5002, rapidly gains market share, both inside and outside Europe’s borders.
1994
Launch of the RAVO 2005 (the predecessor to the RAVO 3-series).
1996
The RAVO 3-series is launched.
The RAVO 560 receives motorway approval and can now go onto roads equipped with a number plate.
2002
The RAVO 560 with Euro 3 engine is launched at the IFAT trade fair in Munich.
2003
In January, at the RDW Centre for Vehicle Technology and Information, RAVO dealers in Lelystad are able to familiarise themselves with ABS for the RAVO 560 Euro 3.
